About Kamla
Kamla knows “I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me”. Kamla is caring and compassionate and believes that we all need someone to talk with. Someone who will listen; be non-judgmental and accept you as we are. Kamla worked with children, teens, adults, and families affected by substance use, mental health concerns including anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and trauma.
Kamla has worked in various areas including addictions, child welfare, mental health counseling, substance use counseling, and health administration. Kamla worked as an assessment clinician, primary therapist and lead therapist, mentor, supervisor, director, administrator, teacher, and trainer and has counseled on grief and loss, women’s issues, co-occurring disorders, managing anger, managing anxiety, and depression, being trauma-sensitive and learning healthy coping skills.
Kamla believes in a holistic approach, which includes empathy to comprehend what is going on in someone else's environment, and coaches from treatment modalities of Client-Centered Therapy Techniques, Cognitive Behavior Therapy Techniques, Motivational Enhancement Therapy Techniques, Psycho-education, and Motivational Interviewing, depending on individual consumer needs. Kamla is open to asking in order to understand and clarify how best to support and assists consumers and families with recovery planning, education, crisis intervention, and support services.

Education
Kamla received her Master of Social Work from Florida Atlantic University, a Master of Health Administration from Florida Atlantic University, and a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
